What kind of marine assets are Lombard able to finance? Is there a minimum or maximum threshold?

Lombard is able to finance many different types of new or used pleasure vessels from small day cruisers up to vessels 34m in length, although we do have a specialist team who deal with vessels larger than this. Our minimum advance is £25,000 and there is no specified maximum limit. Only recently, we paid out €16m on a single Superyacht, our biggest transaction to date. Our core business tends to lend between £100,000 to £500,000 per transaction.

We can also offer finance for commercial vessels and, in recent times, have been asked to quote on several wind farm support vessels for various clients. This is a sure sign of the times and a sector where there is market growth. However, commercial vessels do not just mean support vessels and tugs, we can also look at commercially used yachts and powerboats in the charter market - both in the UK and abroad.
